image

Umran currently holds the title of India’s swiftest fast bowler, exhibiting his blistering pace during the IPL 2022 encounter against DC where he unleashed a thunderous delivery clocked at 157 kph.

This remarkable feat established a new record for the fastest ball ever bowled by an Indian pacer. Furthermore, in the realm of international cricket, Umran’s top speed stands at an impressive 156 kph.

Following his participation in only seven matches during the IPL 2023, Indian pacer Umran Malik mysteriously vanished from the playing 11 of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team.

This sudden absence came as a surprise to SRH fans, considering Umran’s exceptional performance in IPL 2022, where he claimed an impressive tally of 22 wickets.

However, when his performance failed to meet expectations in the first half of the current season, it is alleged that the Sunrisers management made the decision to exclude him from the team.

Presumably, his absence was due to a decline in form, as no official update regarding Umran’s fitness was provided by the Sunrisers.

Presumably, his absence was due to a decline in form, as no official update regarding Umran’s fitness was provided by the Sunrisers.

Umran made his comeback in the final match of the championship against the Mumbai Indians after being excluded from the Sunrisers Hyderabad team for the previous six games.

When asked about his absence during those matches, Umran responded, “I am playing today.

In this season, I have bowled limited overs and managed to take only 5 wickets in 7 games. I believe in the value of hard work.

Today, I have the opportunity, and I hope to perform well.” Based on Umran’s comments to the broadcasters, it appears that his exclusion was primarily due to his subpar bowling form.

The fast bowler from Jammu and Kashmir emphasized that he has not compromised on his pace while attempting to rectify his form.

He stated, “I have not sacrificed my pace; I am striving to bowl in the right areas and working on incorporating variations.

Whenever the team requires wickets, I aim to take them. Otherwise, my focus is on curbing the flow of runs.

It has been a while since I played, so I will give my best and execute my plans to the best of my abilities.”

Umran Malik, the Sunrisers pacer, holds the distinction of being the fastest Indian pacer in the Indian Premier League.

Displaying his incredible speed, the Jammu & Kashmir bowler recorded a staggering velocity of 157 kph during a match against the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2022.
