Significantly, the eminent wrestlers of India, namely Sakshi, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia, have persistently urged the apprehension of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, accusing him of perpetrating sexual misconduct against seven female grapplers.

Top Indian wrestler Sakshi Malik, who is among the protesting grapplers against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, made a claim on Saturday that they were refused entry to the Arun Jaitley Stadium for the IPL 2023 match between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals, despite possessing valid match tickets.

“We all five had match tickets, and we were heading to watch the game. Initially, the Delhi Police confiscated our tickets, and subsequently, we were escorted to an undisclosed location,” Sakshi informed IANS.

“Initially, the police claimed they would provide us with VIP treatment but attempted to detain us.

In response, we insisted on having our tickets back and declared that we would no longer attend the game,” stated another wrestler who was present alongside Sakshi.

Significantly, the top wrestlers of India, namely Sakshi, Vinesh Phogat, and Bajrang Punia, have been demanding the arrest of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on allegations of sexually harassing seven female grapplers.

The protest at Jantar Mantar entered its 28th day on Saturday with no resolution in sight.

Chennai Super Kings displayed their dominance with an authoritative performance against the struggling Delhi Capitals, consolidating their position among the top two teams in the IPL 2023 points table and securing a berth in the playoffs.

Although there exists a slim possibility for Lucknow Super Giants to match CSK’s points and surpass their net run rate, they would need to defeat the Kolkata Knight Riders by a margin of at least 97 runs or more to claim the second spot in the points table.

The teams positioned first and second in the points table will confront each other in Qualifier One, while the third and fourth teams will battle it out in the Eliminator match.

With a robust batting lineup and a disciplined bowling attack, they will pose a formidable challenge to their opponents in the upcoming playoffs.
