Later, he was included in the national team’s support staff as the batting coach after Ashwell Prince stepped down from the position.
The BCB has recently appointed Nick Pothas as their assistant coach, and it is understood that he will assist in coaching the batsmen during national nets, along with head coach Chandika Hathurusingha, who is spending a lot of time with the players trying to improve their batting skills.
Former Bangladesh national team batting coach Jamie Siddons announced on his Facebook page on May 1 that he will no longer work with the national team as he wants to focus on developing the next generation of cricketers.
He explained that he loves coaching the skills of the game to young players, and he feels that his best value to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is working with players just outside the team to ensure they are improving each day in preparation for their future opportunity to play for the country.
