Vijay Shankar’s explosive knock of 51 runs off just 24 deliveries played a pivotal role in the victory, as he guided his team to victory in style.
Despite struggling at 98/3 in 12 overs, with a target of 180 appearing insurmountable, Shankar and David Miller formed a game-changing partnership of 87 runs in just 6.3 overs.
Miller remained unbeaten on 32 runs, sealing a sensational victory for the Titans.

As the required run-rate crept up to 12 runs per over, Miller initiated the attack by hitting Varun Chakaravarthy for a boundary and two sixes.
Shankar soon joined in, cutting Suyash Sharma through point and smashing three massive sixes off Chakaravarthy in the 17th over.
Shankar’s 50 off 24 balls was marked by a powerful six over deep backward square leg, as Gujarat Titans chased down the target with 13 balls to spare, aided by a wide.
The dynamic partnership between Shankar and Miller was a crucial factor in the Titans’ impressive victory.
Shubman Gill of Kolkata Knight Riders was in fine form, displaying exceptional timing and hitting boundaries that silenced the crowd.
However, his performance waned after Wriddhiman Saha’s dismissal, as he mishit a loft to long-on off Sunil Narine’s delivery.
Despite Hardik Pandya’s valiant efforts, which included hitting Suyash down the ground for four and launching Narine over deep mid-wicket for six, he was eventually dismissed after being trapped lbw by Harshit Rana’s inward movement.
Gill, too, fell victim to Narine, toe-ending a loft to long-on.
However, the opening of Shankar and Miller proved to be the turning point in the match, as they stepped up at the right time to guide Gujarat Titans to yet another successful chase.
In a thrilling match, Kolkata Knight Riders posted a total of 179/7 in their 20 overs, with Rahmanullah Gurbaz contributing a blistering 81 runs and Andre Russell adding 34 runs to the total.
However, Gujarat Titans proved to be the stronger team as they chased down the target of 180 in just 17.5 overs, with Vijay Shankar remaining unbeaten on 51 runs and Shubman Gill falling just short of his half-century with 49 runs.

Mohammed Shami and Noor Ahmad were the standout bowlers for the Titans, taking three and two wickets respectively, while Sunil Narine and Harshit Rana each claimed one wicket for the Knight Riders.
In the end, Gujarat Titans secured a seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders.
