KL Rahul out of IPL and WTC Final
KL Rahul, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants, has left the franchise camp after his IPL 2023 season ended.
He is currently in Mumbai for scans, and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken over his case.

The results of the scans will determine Rahul’s participation in the World Test Championship (WTC) final in London early next month.
The National Cricket Academy (NCA) team, which is monitoring his treatment, has not informed the concerned parties, including the team management, as of Thursday night.
However, those who are aware of the situation are not optimistic about Rahul’s chances of playing in the WTC final.
The nature of his injury is unknown, but it is speculated that he could be suffering from a hamstring or hip injury.
Rahul had undergone hernia surgery in Germany just over 10 months ago, and it is believed that all factors are being taken into consideration regarding his current injury.
Neither the LSG management nor the BCCI has released a formal statement about his condition.

The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) management has not yet decided whether to seek a replacement for KL Rahul, who has left the franchise camp and is undergoing scans for an injury.
If LSG qualifies for the playoffs, there may be more games left for them in the season. In Rahul’s absence, Krunal Pandya has been named as the team’s skipper.
Jaydev Unadkat’s situation regarding the World Test Championship (WTC) is still uncertain, although he has been ruled out of the IPL.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may name replacements once more clarity is available.
However, it is likely that Ishan Kishan could be the second wicketkeeper for the one-off Test, as he was recently part of the Indian team.

Players who are part of the IPL playoffs will travel to the UK at a later date.
