SRH took early control of the game after winning the toss and electing to bat.
In the second over, Marco Jansen struck twice, dismissing Rahmanullah Gurbaz for a first-ball duck and following it up with the removal of Venkatesh Iyer.
Kartik Tyagi, who was erratic for the most part, also managed to get lucky when Jason Roy edged a swipe to short third, giving SRH another wicket during the Powerplay.

During the middle overs of the match, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, and Andre Russell helped control and consolidate KKR’s early damage.
Rinku got the ball rolling, while Rana struggled initially before breaking free with two sixes off successive deliveries in the 10th over, helping the visitors reach a strong position at the halfway mark of their innings with 90 for 3.
Although Markram ended Rana’s stay soon after, Russell imposed himself early by drilling the off-spinner for a six straight down the ground.
Russell’s brisk 15-ball 24 powered KKR to 127 for 4 by the end of the 14th over.
However, their momentum was stifled as wickets tumbled at regular intervals through the late overs, restricting the visitors to 171 for 9.
Mayank Agarwal and Abhishek Sharma got SRH off to a quick start in the chase, with Abhishek chipping the first ball of the innings for a boundary.
However, KKR’s new-ball duo of Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora allowed the openers to add 29 runs in just 2.5 overs before Mayank fell to Rana’s pace and bounce.
Soon, Abhishek was foxed by Shardul Thakur’s slower delivery, and the out-of-form Rahul Tripathi joined the aggressive act.
The South African duo of Markram and Klaasen then stitched a crucial 70-run partnership.
Klaasen looked at ease on the challenging surface, while Markram struggled to get going initially before hitting two boundaries to give his innings a push.

By the time Klaasen was dismissed in the 15th over, SRH needed 48 runs from 35 balls.
However, a fantastic catch by Gurbaz behind the wicket ended Jansen’s stay, and despite a fine boundary by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, SRH could only manage three runs in the final over, eventually losing the game by five runs.
