From a small city of Indore, within a short span of three years, a company positioned itself as the world’s second largest viral content company with over one billion readers and over 250 million page views per month; the company got over 80 million unique readers and 160 million video views every month.

India’s largest and world’s second largest (after buzz feed), “witty feed” is the viral content marketing platform. It publishes content on categories such as sports, news, fashion, lifestyle, travel, inspiration, relationships, health, fitness, and posts ads related to the content published.

The firm is well known for its modern day blogging platform for photo-stories and listicles (a piece of writing or other content, presented wholly or partly in the form of a list).

It has become India’s 20th most visited site, surpassing Twitter and Instagram and known as YouTube of content industry.

The owner of the company is Vatsana Technologies and was established in October, 2014. Key people of the company are Vinay Singhal (Co-founder and CEO), Shashank Vaishnav (Co-founder & CTO) and Parveen Singhal (Co-founder & COO). The headquarters are in Indore and Madhya Pradesh.
It is the first Indian company to be among the top 75 and top 25 most-read websites in the US and the UK. It gets 75% of its traffic from US, UK, Canada and Australia.

WittyFeed has received the ‘Fastest Growing Company in IT Sector’ award by All India Achiever’s Foundation in 2015. It was selected by Google among an elite group of startups for case studies on successful companies using their products. WittyFeed raised an undisclosed amount of funding in a pre-series A funding from investors like Anand Chandrasekaran (Former Snapdeal/ Bharti Airtel CPO), Apurva Chamaria (VP of HCL Technologies) and Ritesh Malik (Co-founder of Innov8), along with a group of other investors.

An investor who came on board to support WittyFeed is Ritesh Malik, Co-founder, Innov8, and a serial entrepreneur.

Chamaria (village) has emerged as one of the top angel investors in the past 2 years having invested in approximately 27 companies in this span of time. Some of his investments include Innov8, Simulanis VR, Lucideus Tech, Chqbook, Ahhaa, etc.

Ashish Toshniwal (Y Media Labs, CEO), Ajeet Khurana (Angel Investor), Aneil Mahajan (Ex COO, Bhaskar Group), Piyush Goel (Beyond Key Systems Pvt. Ltd., Founder & CEO), Singapore Angel Network, and Harsh Mani Tripathi (Pyoopil Education Technologies, Founder and CEO) are other investors who have joined hands in this round are entrepreneurs and professionals.

In September 2016, Wittyfeed partnered with Sohail Khan production’s film Freaky Ali, starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amy Jackson and Arbaaz Khan. It also partnered with an online emotional wellness platform YourDost to be the digital partner of the #StopSuicide campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day in 2016.
In association with Government of India’s initiative Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Narendra Singh Tomar, the Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj used WittyFeed as a platform to create awareness on cleanliness in 2017.
